"While Mick McCleery returns as serial Killer Joel Winter, and Sasha Graham
reprises her role as the femme fatale vampire Angie Karnstein, we see them in a completely
different light to what we did in the first film.TAINTED BLOOD is a lot more compact than
the first film and as a result moves at a much faster pace. It also eschews the dark,
disturbing tone of the first in favor of a more cynical approach. As Lindenmuth himself
has described it, it's like 'NEW YORK STORIES, but with vampires instead of humans.'"
REEL WILD CINEMA
Synopsis: New York City is one of the prime breeding
grounds for the vampire,a creature that is very selective in whom it chooses to bestow the
gift of eternal life. Among the candidates are the twenty-something Tricia, who desires to
experience any life but her own; Jonathan, a young vampire with an attitude problem; and,
of course, a few serial killer types like Joel Winter, who search for something beyond
their psychopathic lives. But there's one problem. A rogue vampire is turning people who
aren't worthy of "the Gift" and it's up to Angie to find her sister and put an
end to these creatures with the tainted blood.
Featuring Sasha Graham, Mick McCleery, Sarah K. Lippmann, Cloud Michaels and a special
appearance by cult director Ted V. Mikels.
"Kevin Lindenmuth's ADDICTED TO MURDER 2: TAINTED BLOOD is one of those video
gems that trades expensive sets and stars for intriguing concepts. If
Scooter McCrae's fascinating SHATTERDEAD existed to deconstruct the zombie
myth down to existential loners wandering a bleak landscape, then ADDICTED TO
MURDER strips the vampire legend of its overused gothic trappings and finds
serial killers. Lindenmuth has fashioned a world in which vampires exist in a
Manson-like family cult; they're more worried about leaving fingerprints on
their victims than in finding a coffin by sunrise. He has, ironically,
deconstructed the vampire mythos by returning to the very book which gave it
life, Bram Stoker's original DRACULA. As in Stoker's book, Lindenmuth's
vampires can exist in sunlight, they're just stronger after dark; and they
create human thralls who obsess on their vampire lovers." DARK REGIONS & HORROR MAGAZINE
"ADDICTED TO MURDER 2: TAINTED BLOOD continues the legacy of the vampire
Angie, the serial killer Joel and their dark, vampiric world. Now, a vampire
has decided to taint their lineage by giving "the gift" to the unworthy and
Angie must do everything in her power to stop it. With ADDICTED TO MURDER 2
we are given one of the few sequels which surpasses the original, birthing a
must-see series. ADDICTED 2 is an aggressive rollercoaster ride of
titillating horror and warped, psychotic visions." G.C MAGAZINE
"this is a rare treat where the sequel improves on the original. Better acted and
directed than the must-see original, these guys should be producing Hollywood flix." BETTY PAGINATED
"Ms. Lippmann is a stand-out talent, as is actress Cloud Michaels" FEMME FATALES
"This sequel addresses the nature of a vampire community, and does so with some
intelligence and style" EYE MAGAZINE
"Admist the twisting plot and superb performances from Sarah K. Lippmann, Sasha
Graham and Ted Grayson combined with an excellent script, action, special effects, plenty
of blood, a few good laughs, some very stylish filming and slick editing there is that
profound sense of realism whch is seldom found in the million dollar Hollywood vampire
productions of recent years. All of these factors combine to create an excellent,
thoroughly enjoyable and bloody entertaining film." BLOODSTONE: The Magazine for Vampires
"Kevin J. Lindenmuth's ADDICTED TO MURDER 2 is proof, if proof was needed, that the
future of horror is safe in the hands of low budget cinema. Imaginative, provocative and
brimming with attitude, Lindenmuth's film gives the well-worn vampire genre a healthy
transfusion. Dripping with amorality, narcissism and nihilism, ATM 2 is the ultimate
Generation X vampire film." SAMHAIN
" Another well acted and well written independent film gem is always a
refreshing change. No budget does not necessarily mean no substance." BURIED.COM
"diverting and entertaining" ROASTING RODERICK
"Lindenmuth proves once again he's one of the best working in the straight to
vid arena with a complex tale of bloodsuckers who don't necessarily play by
the rules." SCARY DREAMS (UK magazine)
"The underlying idea of updating the vampire myth to turn them into a cult of
serial killers praying on the social underclasses and vulnerable suits the
modern day New York setting. I particularly liked the idea of the femal
vampire who places lonely hearts ads to attract potential victims. You can
help wondering what kinds of people are placing some of those classified ads.
ADDICTED TO MURDER: TAINTED BLOOD suggests a horrific and entertaining
answer." Rob Dyer, DARK STAR
"Possibly one of the coolest additions to the flick is a cameo by director
Ted Mikels who is best known for his films, THE CORPSE GRINDERS and ASTRO
ZOMBIES." DIABOLICAL DOMINION
"ADDICTED TO MURDER 2 is a dark, clever, and amusing horror film that actually breathes some fresh life into the vampire subgenre." FLIPSIDE MOVIE EMPORIUM
"Lindenmuth shows even more skill with direction in this film" JACKSONVILLE FILM JOURNAL
"It's always interesting and you're wondering what happens next." BLOOD

"better than the original...continues to play with the vampire mythos created in the original and that is something I definitely like." The HORROR FILM COMPENDIUM
"Lick your lips and sink your teeth into TAINTED BLOOD!" THRAE.COM
"a compelling, well acted and nicely scripted slice of vampire mayhem." FIRELIGHT SHOCKS
"Rarely does a sequel, or in this case a prequel, equal the original. This is one of the exceptions. I would even venture to comment that this is better than the original." Matt Hudson, THE DOGPILE
